Grand Prix de France et Motocross des Nations en 2011 à Saint Jean d’Angély
2 EVENEMENTS MONDIAUX à ne rater en aucun cas…
sur le Circuit du Puy-de-Poursay à Saint Jean d’Angély (17)
St Jean d’Angely is a permanent Motocross track which is located on the West side of France. The track has seen a round of the FIM MX1 and MX2 World Motocross Championships visit the track several times in the last few years, and has recently gone some renovation work to bring it upto a world class circuit. The results have been achieved as they are hosting the 2011 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, which took place in the USA in 2010. In 2000 the MXON visited the French circuit, with the Americans winning overall. One of the notable events of the weekend involved Travis Pastrana #199; he crashed on lap 1, came back to finish 2nd in his heat, and jumped over the top of Stefan Everts in the process! As well as International events, the track hosts practice days and club meetings, and is open throughout the year. Looking at the track, it’s based on a section of land with lots of hills and drops providing some spectacular racing. ( via Trackrevieviewers.com )
